"I met Christie at her writing workshop at Kava Kat where she shared her experiences and the path she took to become the writer she is today. I am a high school teacher and as she guided us through a couple writing activities, I knew I wanted to incorporate them into my upcoming creative writing unit with my 10th grade students. Her energy is amazing and I knew my students would enjoy the novelty of having someone else guide them through such a fun activity. She agreed to come and spend the day in my classroom creating ransom poetry with my students and sharing her inspirational story with them. That was last week and they are still talking about them! A huge thank you to Christie for spending the day with me and my students and just generally being an awesome inspiration!"
